This is the life! I'm sitting on my patio with my laptop on my...well, lap, when I'm reminded that in just about two weeks school will be back in session; and even for those of us not going back to school, you know what that means: time just seems to spin out of control. August is a perfect time to come in to Fresh Taste Meals and get a jump on the hectic days ahead! There are lots of grilling options available this month as well as a great Fiesta Chicken Salad to keep in the refrigerator ready to serve cold on a hot summer's night. September's menu is looking pretty good too, and should be up in a couple days.

Smaller Meal Sizes are Finally Here: The new 2- or 4-serving size option is finally ready. We kept trying to figure out an easy way to do it, and decided the best way was to just offer it as a "we-make-it" option only. We just couldn't figure out how to get all those different measuring spoons into the stations and still have room for the ingredients! So starting as soon as you read this, you can now purchase Fresh Taste Meals in smaller serving sizes. For just $4.50 per serving you can purchase our meals in sizes that work better for you. What's the math on that look like? If you purchase 6 meals in 2-serving sizes, the cost is just $54; 12 2-serving meals are just $108. Of course you're not limited to buying just 6 or 12 meals. You can buy as many or as few meals as you like in 2- or 4-serving sizes for just $4.50 per serving.  Give us a call (457-7798) to place your order and we'll set up a time for you to pick it up. 

The Time has Come: Several times this summer we have had customers ask us how long we were going to be able to keep our prices at their current rate. I'm sure you've all noticed how much the cost of food and fuel has gone up in the last year and a half-it's that whole supply & demand, corn-biofuel, corn-livestock feed, corn-in-short-supply thing. Long story short...in response to our customers' questions...the time has come. Beginning in September, a 6-meal, 6-serving package will cost $125 and a 12-meal, 6-serving package will cost $225. That comes out to as low as $3.13 per serving when you buy the 12-meal package. Still a bargain even if you don't count all the time you save at the grocery store and in the kitchen. 

Walk-in Wednesday: This is a great opportunity for friends, family, and co-workers to come in and see what they've been missing.  The first meal is just $18-any others are at the regular price.  If you're planning to make more than just a couple meals, though, be sure to sign up ahead of time so we have enough ingredients on hand.

Private Parties: Now that we're all getting back on a schedule, keep in mind Private Parties at FTM for a little adult interaction. It's a great time to get together with other couples or just a bunch of girl friends and take care of that pesky feed-the-family chore. We've had some pretty fun bridal and baby showers, and you can always pick up a banquet permit at the liquor store so you can add some "spirits" to your private party. Monday, Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday afternoons & evenings are set aside for private parties. Give us a call at 457-7798 to choose your time. 

Gift Certificates & Prepaid Cards: This is a great time to come in and pick up a gift certificate or prepay a month's worth of meals at the old prices. Even if they aren't used before the prices change, we will still honor them at the old price. Some of you may still be hanging on to some really old gift certificates wondering if they're any good-well they are. Bring those certificates in and walk out with some "home-made" meals your family will love.
